Frequently asked questions
What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?
I'm an obstetrician and gynaecologist. I see a lot of patients who come to me for a private consultant-led pregnancy care and delivery. In the gynaecology side of things, I see patients with menstrual problems and endometriosis-related symptoms.
What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?
I'm able to offer medical and surgical treatments to patients with a range of gynaecological symptoms. On the obstetrics side, I offer patients who wish to have consultant-led care in pregnancy, the option of having normal delivery or caesarean section which is carried out by myself.
I specialise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Those patients who need surgical intervention in gynaecology have the benefit of having their procedures performed using keyhole surgery technique, which has additional benefits of recovering quickly from surgery and returning to work after a shorter period of recuperation from minor and major surgeries.
What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?
My specialty interest in gynaecology's in the treatment of uterine fibroids and treatment of endometriosis. In terms of leading the service, I'm the lead clinician for the treatment of endometriosis at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital where we have one of the endometriosis centres in London.
As far as fibroids are concerned, I have a vast experience in the treatment of uterine fibroids, both medical and surgical treatments. I also chair the fibroid MDT (multi-disciplinary team) at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital.
In obstetrics, I specialise in management of high-risk pregnancies, which are considered to be of high risk for the mother and the baby.
