Mr Shadi Ghali is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with extensive experience in reconstructive and breast surgery. He currently sees private patients at Spire Harpenden Hospital and Highgate Hospital.
Mr Ghali earned his primary medical qualification from the University of London in 1998. He then undertook his basic training in London and further honed his skills internationally in the USA and Sweden. During his time in the USA, he trained at the Anderson Cancer Centre, where he completed a fellowship in Microvascular Reconstruction. In Sweden, he gained valuable experience in reconstructive surgery for oncology at Akademikliniken, providing him with a holistic perspective on reconstructive practices.
Upon completing his training and fellowships, Mr Ghali was appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital. Here, he has been instrumental in developing a surgical lymphedema management service, working closely with the vascular and breast reconstruction services.
In addition to his clinical roles, Mr Ghali is a dedicated educator. He is part of the teaching faculty at the UCL Master’s program for plastic surgery, where he actively contributes to the medical education of plastic surgeons in training.
Mr Ghali's areas of expertise include reconstructive surgery, breast surgery, microvascular reconstruction, and surgical lymphedema management. His interests lie in the multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment, allowing him to provide comprehensive care to his patients.
