    Dr Benjamin Jacobs is a Consultant Paediatrician based in London, specialising in all areas of children's medicine. He graduated with a merit in surgery from Middlesex Hospital Medical School, University of London, in 1985. Following his graduation, Dr Jacobs trained in paediatrics in London and subsequently accepted a four-year lecturer post at the University of Manchester as an Honorary Senior Registrar. During this period, he conducted research and submitted an MD thesis focused on the psychology of children's eczema.

    Dr Jacobs' impressive research efforts earned him a three-year fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, from 1996 to 1999. During his fellowship, he completed an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology with a thesis on influenza in children (CARIFS). After completing his fellowship, he returned to the UK to continue his medical career.

    Dr Jacobs has a specialist interest in treating children and teenagers with bone or musculoskeletal problems, particularly those related to nutrition, Vitamin D, growing pains, and bone disease. He has extensive experience in treating rare bone diseases such as rickets, osteogenesis, and chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO).

    In addition to his clinical work, Dr Jacobs frequently lectures at national and international conferences, sharing his research and expertise in children's bone diseases. He also represents the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health as a speaker.

    Dr Jacobs has been dedicated to paediatric medicine since his appointment and continues to contribute significantly to the field through both his clinical practice and research.
