Mr Waters is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He qualified from University College London Medical School in 1995 and underwent specialist training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, as part of the Specialist Registrar rotation. He further honed his skills during a prestigious international fellowship with the Sydney Hip & Knee Surgeons in Australia.

Mr Waters's areas of expertise include hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), ligament reconstruction, osteotomy (knee re-alignment), hip resurfacing, and revision (redo) joint replacements. His extensive experience and dedication to his field have made him a leading figure in orthopaedic surgery.

Since his appointment, Mr Waters has taken on significant roles within his hospital. He is responsible for the training of junior surgeons and serves as the lead orthopaedic surgeon for clinical governance, surgical site infection surveillance, and the enhanced recovery programme. His commitment to excellence in patient care was recognised with two clinical excellence awards in 2010.
