    Mr Rob Pollock is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at The Princess Grace Hospital and Chair of the HCA UK Sarcoma Board. Elected president of the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society in June 2023, he specialises in managing hip and knee conditions and bone and soft tissue tumours. He served as Clinical Director of the Joint Reconstruction and Sarcoma Units from 2017-2021 at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where he has been a consultant since 2004. His private practice is at The Princess Grace and The Wellington Hospitals, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

    Mr Pollock has extensive experience in first-time and revision hip and knee replacements and limb salvage surgery for musculoskeletal tumours. He qualified from University College London in 1993 with first-class honours and trained at various London teaching hospitals, including UCLH, St Mary's, and the RNOH. He completed fellowships in Sydney, Australia, and Denver, USA, focusing on hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and bone tumour management.

    In 2008, he was awarded the American, British, and Canadian (ABC) Fellowship by the British Orthopaedic Association, spending six weeks at premier orthopaedic clinics in North America. A fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he is also a member of several professional societies, including the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Hip Society.

    Mr Pollock has published over 90 research papers on joint reconstruction and bone cancer and frequently presents at national and international meetings. He enjoys teaching and is an instructor on postgraduate courses at the RNOH. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family and competes in triathlons, having completed a full Ironman in 2016.
