Mr Mohiemen Anwar is a highly regarded Consultant ENT Specialist, adept at treating both adult and paediatric patients. He possesses extensive knowledge in all areas of ENT diseases and conditions, with a particular focus on nasal conditions, allergies, sinusitis, nose reshaping, nasal trauma and reconstruction, and endoscopic sinus surgery.
Mr Anwar's training was conducted at several prestigious London hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal Marsden, and The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. His advanced training concentrated on rhinology, facial plastics, and anterior skull base surgery. Since his appointment to his current NHS post, he has introduced innovative technologies and procedures, such as balloon sinuplasty and endoscopic ear surgery. He is also developing bone-anchored hearing aid services and a joint voice clinic at the Trust.
Mr Anwar is deeply committed to medical education, organising Bart's ENT training courses. Since 2007, he has facilitated numerous FESS & Rhinoplasty courses, Head and Neck dissection courses, and Temporal bone dissection courses. He also established Bart's Introduction to ENT course for junior trainees.
In addition to his professional commitments, Mr Anwar has participated in charity missions in Syrian and Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, focusing on assessing and rehabilitating children with hearing disabilities.
