Dr Toby Garrood is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He sees patients at 120 Old Broad Street in the City of London, which is part of the London Rheumatology Centre.
Dr Garrood qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School and subsequently trained in Rheumatology in London and the South East. He obtained an MSc in Rheumatology from King's College London in 2003 and a PhD from the University of London in 2009.
Dr Garrood is highly experienced in the management of inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. He also specialises in treating osteoarthritis, localised and widespread musculoskeletal pain, gout, back and neck pain. He is proficient in joint and soft tissue injections.
His current research interests focus on inflammatory arthritis, imaging, and fibromyalgia. Dr Garrood is also active in medical education, contributing significantly at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
