About Mr Nicolas Beechey-Newman

Mr Beechey-Newman is one of the early adopters and pioneers of sentinel node biopsy in UK. He has also been involved in the development and maturing of the field of breast duct micro-endoscopy in Europe. He specialises exclusively in breast disorders including benign breast problems, the treatment of breast cancer and breast reconstructive surgery.
Having trained at Guy's Hospital Medical School between 1977 and 1983, Mr Beechey-Newman spent 14 years in general surgical training before joining the Breast Unit at Guy's King's and St.Thomas' Hospitals.
He has researched and written extensively on these subjects, and has been featured in more than 2000 media articles. He has recently published on breast duct micro-endoscopy, sentinel node biopsy, incidence of breast cancer in young women and Paget's disease of the nipple.
