Mr Scarci was trained as a specialist in Italy, Malta, the Essex Cardiothoracic Center, and Guy's and St. Thomas. Six months were split between the University of Toronto and McMaster University for a minimally invasive surgery fellowship. Mr Scarci specialises exclusively in thoracic surgery. He collaborates closely with a big team of surgeons, specialist nurses, radiologists, and physicians to provide patients with the best possible outcome. His primary concentration is minimally invasive surgery.
Major areas of interest for Mr Scarci include resection of locally advanced malignancy, chest wall abnormalities and malignancies, and minimally invasive surgery.
Mr Scarci is actively associated with the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and is the leader of the ESTS database committee and the Pleural and Chest Wall Working Groups of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
