    Mr Adrian Casey is a distinguished Consultant Neurosurgeon with a joint appointment at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore (Spinal Unit) and The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square (UCLH). He made history as the first neurosurgeon in the UK to be appointed solely as a spinal surgeon, a role designed to integrate the orthopaedic and neurosurgical disciplines of spinal surgery.

    Mr Casey previously served as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Charing Cross Hospital and was a senior lecturer at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. He currently holds honorary senior lecturer positions at the Institute of Orthopaedics and the Institute of Neurology at UCL.

    In addition to his clinical roles, Mr Casey is a tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons, AO Spinal Foundation, and serves as an Expert International Faculty member for De Puy Spine. He is one of the founding Directors of the European Association of Neurological Surgeons (Spine section) and is the current president of the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS).

    Mr Casey's clinical interests encompass all aspects of spinal health, including neck and back pain, spinal stabilisation, artificial disc technology, cervical myelopathy, lumbar canal stenosis, and spinal tumours.

    Mr Casey continues to contribute significantly to the field of spinal surgery, combining his extensive knowledge and experience to improve patient outcomes.
