  • byDr Diana Holdright, Consultant Cardiologist

Likely the very best hip surgeon in the country.

In terms of outcomes that I see from Miss Sarah Muirhead-Allwood's work, the surgical site is so clean, so tidy with minimal post-operative bruising and swelling. Her patients just do really, really well.

Miss Muirhead-Allwood specialises in hip revision and hip replacement for all arthritic hip conditions and hip developmental problems, including avascular necrosis. She treats adults of all ages and continues to perform hip resurfacing, which is considered an excellent treatment for many young and active patients.

In her commitment to improving patient outcomes, Miss Muirhead-Allwood established The London Hip Unit 20 years ago. The unit has since gained a worldwide reputation for clinical excellence and is one of the UK’s only dedicated private facilities for the specialist treatment and care of adults with hip problems.
