    Year qualified: 2001

Place of primary qualification: University of Oxford

Dr Patrick Dubois is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician at King's College Hospital in London. He also sees patients privately, including at The London Bridge Hospital. Dr Dubois studied neurosciences at Oxford University and then read medicine at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals, graduating in 2001 with distinction.

Dr Dubois undertook post-graduate training in London and was appointed a Consultant in 2012. In 2006, he was awarded a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship and attained a PhD in 2011 for his research into the genetic causes of coeliac disease and Crohn's disease.

Currently, Dr Dubois leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service at King's College Hospital. This includes the development of a dedicated clinic for young adults, particularly those transitioning from paediatric services, and a coeliac clinic. He has a keen interest in nutrition and artificial nutrition support. Additionally, he runs the gastrostomy (PEG) service at King's College, which has achieved consistently superior safety outcomes compared to national benchmarks.

Dr Dubois treats patients with a variety of common gastroenterological symptoms, including reflux, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea, and constipation. He is an accomplished endoscopist and colonoscopist, with a particular interest in the detection of pre-cancerous changes in inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr Dubois is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology and the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation. His research into IBD and coeliac disease has been widely published, along with many of his articles in gastroenterology.
