    Mr Joseph Perez is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the treatment of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder problems. He has a particular clinical interest in thumb osteoarthritis, wrist pain, elbow instability and fractures, as well as degenerative conditions of the shoulder. Mr Perez performs a wide range of operative interventions, including keyhole surgery (arthroscopy), joint replacement (arthroplasty), fixation of acute fractures, and reconstruction of non-unions.

    Mr Perez qualified in 1987 from Guy's Hospital Medical School. He completed his basic surgical training in Brighton and Plymouth, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1993. Following this, he trained in orthopaedics in Bristol and the South East, and took the Inter-collegiate Specialist Exam in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in 1999. He then completed a two-year fellowship in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery in Sydney. In 2002, he was appointed as a consultant at Northwest London Hospitals Trust, where he is currently the lead clinician for hand and elbow surgery.

    Throughout his career, Mr Perez has written over 3,500 medico-legal reports and performed over 8,500 operative interventions. He regularly receives referrals to assess and treat professional and Olympic athletes, showcasing his expertise and trust within the medical community.

    Mr Perez is proficient in treating a variety of conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis, tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), and upper limb fractures. He also offers several medical tests and treatments, such as carpal tunnel decompression, joint fusion (hand and wrist), and shockwave therapy.
