Mr Janindra Warusavitarne is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at The Princess Grace Hospital. He has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as anal fistula, haemorrhoids (piles), diverticular disease, intestinal failure surgery, and the repair of complex hernias of the abdominal wall.
Mr Janindra received his training in Australia and is internationally renowned for his expertise. He has authored numerous papers and book chapters on his areas of clinical interest. Additionally, he has delivered over one hundred international and national lectures, establishing himself as a key opinion leader and innovator within his field.
Mr Janindra has been involved in pioneering new procedures such as video-assisted fistula treatment and laser treatment for haemorrhoids and anal fistula. He is also an expert in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, having performed many procedures using both standard laparoscopic techniques and single-port surgery, which allows for minimal scarring.
His areas of expertise include colorectal surgery, pelvic vein embolization, bowel cancer, gallbladder cancer, hernia, inflammatory bowel disease, and haemorrhoids.
