    Professor Vaz achieved his primary medical qualification with distinction in Clinical Therapeutics in 1994 from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School. He then embarked on extensive training at several leading centres of excellence in England, including The Medway Maritime Hospital, The William Harney Hospital, and The Royal Sussex County Hospital. He also completed a highly esteemed fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery in Brisbane, Australia, before becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
