Dr Deven Patel is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist, appointed as an NHS consultant in 1999. He serves at Barnet, Chase Farm, and The Royal Free hospitals and has been the Head of Cardiology at Barnet and Chase Farm since 2007. Dr Patel also offers private consultations at several locations.
Dr Patel completed his medical training at Middlesex Hospital, London, and further specialised in cardiology at The Royal Free, Hillingdon, Royal Brompton, and Harefield Hospitals. Over the last 14 years, he has focused on coronary angiography, intervention, and stenting, with a particular interest in complex coronary interventions using Rotablation and intravascular ultrasound.
Dr Patel has conducted extensive research in the diagnosis and risk stratification of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes, including acute myocardial infarction. He has developed significant expertise in performing coronary angiography and stenting via the radial artery.
