Mr Declan Cahill is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at London Bridge Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. He obtained his degree with distinction at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (now Imperial College London) in 1993. Following his urology training in London, he completed a fellowship at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, focusing on minimally invasive prostate surgery.
Mr Cahill is renowned for his expertise in prostate cancer, robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, and general urological diagnostics. He treats conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), haematuria, and general conditions of the scrotum and penis. His proficiency in robotic radical prostatectomies is evidenced by his best-in-class results, comparable to the best published worldwide.
In addition to his clinical roles, Mr Cahill has been awarded the Hallett Prize Gold Medal for General Surgery and the Keith Yeates Gold Medal for Urology. He performs between three and five robotic radical prostatectomies weekly and manages a large volume of prostate cancer patients annually.
