GMC number: 6039472
Year qualified: 2001
Place of primary qualification: University of London
Mr Arjuna Imbuldeniya is a Consultant Knee and Hip Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon treating patients in West London. He specialises in all hip and knee problems, pain, and injuries, including ligament injuries, cartilage damage, and fractures. He is employed by The Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients at locations in Chelsea, Chiswick, and Brentford.
Mr Imbuldeniya has expertise in both nonsurgical treatments, including advising on physiotherapy, knee supports, braces, and injectables. His surgical experience includes keyhole surgery for cartilage, ligaments, and meniscus, as well as less invasive robotic-assisted partial and total knee and hip replacement surgery.
His West London Knee and Hip Clinic is committed to combining innovation, compassion, and excellence to achieve the best results for every patient under its care.
Mr Imbuldeniya graduated as a medical doctor from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital Medical School in 2001 and undertook all his surgical training in London teaching hospitals, with additional international specialist fellowship training in globally renowned centres in Sydney and Barcelona.
During his career, he has been continually recognised for excellent patient care and feedback from those who work alongside him. He prioritises his patients above all else and treats them as if they were friends or family. He is a firm believer in the power of innovation and technology to positively change healthcare and is involved in research with the aim of improving patient care and results.
Outside of work, he is a huge Brentford FC fan, still plays weekly football, and loves cooking for his friends and young family.
