He has been serving as an Associate Professor at University College London since his appointment in 2016. Mr Patel is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients by employing evidence-based technologies and enhanced recovery techniques.

Mr Patel's areas of expertise include joint replacements, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), sports injuries, and trauma. He is also proficient in non-operative treatments for hip and knee disorders, such as biologics (PRP) and bracing. His extensive training includes fellowships at prestigious institutions like the Royal Berkshire and Royal Free London Hospitals, as well as international units in Australia, Germany, France, Holland, South Africa, and Switzerland.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Patel has a keen interest in sports, exercise, and surgical education. He is an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor and directs multiple national Orthopaedic Masterclass surgical training courses.
