    Mr Toby Richards is a Consultant Surgeon based at UCH and academic Senior Lecturer at UCL. Mr Richards is a specialist in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Trained in Oxford, he undertook fellowships at Nottingham, a pioneering centre in endovascular therapies and also Melbourne, Australia where he trained in advanced endovascular aneurysm repair angiography. Mr Richards is one of the first surgeons in the UK to be able to offer both open and endovascular options to patients with vascular disease.

    Mr Richards was appointed to UCH in 2009 and developed integrated academic and clinical pathways for patients with vascular disease. Mr Richards leads internationally recognised research teams in Patient Blood Management, Carotid Artery Disease, Varicose Vein treatments and Wound Healing. Collaborations exist with Australia, Singapore and multiple centres in the UK. Mr Richards is a regular speaker at international conferences with over a hundred publications in the world literature.
