About Mr Thomas Crompton
GMC number: 6101649
Year qualified: 2004
Place of primary qualification: University of London
Mr Thomas Crompton is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with extensive experience in the treatment and management of paediatric orthopaedic conditions. He specialises in deformity correction, Perthes disease, neuromuscular disorders, foot and ankle conditions, and hip dysplasia. Mr Crompton sees private patients at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children.
Mr Crompton earned his primary medical qualification at Barts and The London Medical School. He then undertook his basic and specialist registrar orthopaedic training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. Following this, he was awarded various paediatric orthopaedic fellowships at The Royal London Hospital and the Westmead Children’s Hospital in Australia. Upon completion of his fellowships, he was appointed as a consultant at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton.
Since his appointment, Mr Crompton has prioritised providing an excellent standard of care for his patients. He advocates for non-operative treatments to reassure his patients that orthopaedic treatment does not always mean surgery. Mr Crompton centres his practice around individualised treatment, often starting consultations by building a comprehensive picture of the child's condition to recommend the most appropriate treatments.
Mr Crompton is dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their specific needs. His approach aims to put both the child and their family at ease, ensuring a supportive and understanding environment throughout the treatment process.
