    Dr Terence Wong is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at St Thomas' Hospital. He currently serves as the clinical lead in hepatology and the oesophageal laboratory at St Thomas' Hospital.

    Dr Wong graduated from Cambridge University and received his post-graduate training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital, and King's College Hospital. He was awarded an MD thesis in 2001.

    Dr Wong's research interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, hepatitis, hepatology, and hepatobiliary endoscopy. He has authored over 100 publications and abstracts in these fields.

    Dr Wong is highly skilled in a variety of medical tests and treatments, including cholangioscopy, colonic stenting, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopy, FibroScan (transient elastography), gastroscopy, liver biopsy, oesophageal stenting, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), and sigmoidoscopy.

    He specialises in treating a wide range of conditions such as achalasia, acid reflux, autoimmune hepatitis, Barrett's oesophagus, cholestasis, fatty liver disease, gastric (stomach) ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), gastroparesis, haemochromatosis, heartburn, hepatitis, hiatus hernia, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), jaundice, liver disease, oesophageal spasm, oesophagitis, primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), upper gastrointestinal conditions (oesophagus and stomach), and Wilson's disease.
