    GMC number: 4206594

    Year qualified: 1995

Place of primary qualification: University of London

Dr Sam Firoozi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St George’s Hospital in London. He graduated in 1995 from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals Medical School and subsequently completed his medical and cardiology training in several London teaching hospitals. In 1999, he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship, enabling clinical research into heart muscle disease and sports cardiology at St George’s University of London.

Between 2002 and 2008, Dr Firoozi completed training in general and interventional cardiology, including an interventional cardiology fellowship at St George’s Hospital. This led to his appointment as a consultant general and interventional cardiologist in 2009. He has a special interest in high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart intervention, including TAVI. He has developed a very high-volume interventional practice and regularly consults a large number of patients.

Dr Firoozi is also involved in higher medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate students and has run training courses. He is an active member of several organisations, including The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) and The British Cardiac Interventional Society (BCIS), and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Firoozi sees patients at The Harley Street Clinic, 78 Harley Street, London W1J 7HJ, available on Thursdays and other days on an ad hoc basis. He carries out interventional procedures every week at The Harley Street Clinic, 35 Weymouth Street, London W1G 8BJ.
