    Mr Rupert Eckersley is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in hand and wrist surgery. He is based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is one of the founders of the London Hand & Wrist Unit at the Platinum Medical Centre.

    Mr Eckersley's clinical interests include both traumatic and elective surgery of the hand and wrist. He has a particular interest in Collagenase injection for the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture.

    In addition to his clinical work, Mr Eckersley is passionate about medical education. He serves as the chairman of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the University of Manchester Hand Diploma Examination Board.
