    Professor Richard Collin is a distinguished medical specialist in the field of oculoplastic surgery. He received his medical degree from Cambridge University and completed his postgraduate ophthalmology training at several renowned London hospitals, including the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital. Furthering his expertise, he was awarded a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where he specialised in oculoplastic surgery.

    Professor Collin has a profound interest in teaching and was appointed Honorary Professor at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, University of London, in 2008. His dedication to the field was recognised in 2009 when he received the Charamis Medal from the European Society of Ophthalmology for his contributions to teaching oculoplastic surgery. He has an impressive academic portfolio, having published over 300 papers and co-authored several textbooks on oculoplastic surgical topics.

    During his tenure as a Consultant Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Professor Collin pioneered the eyelid tumour oncology and microphthalmia/anophthalmia services. Although he has retired from the NHS, he continues to practice privately on Harley Street. Throughout his illustrious career, he has held prestigious roles, including President of both the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and the European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
