    About Mr Rehan Salim

    GMC number: 4426226

    Year qualified: 1997

Place of primary qualification: University of London

Mr Rehan Salim is a consultant gynaecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. He graduated in medicine from St Andrew’s University and King’s College London, later completing subspecialty training in reproductive medicine at University College London Hospital. Following this, he was appointed as a consultant at UCLH, where he led the Reproductive Medicine Unit and developed the NHS IVF service. Additionally, he maintained a busy private practice in fertility and IVF at The Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health.

In 2012, Mr Salim was recruited by Johns Hopkins International to establish and manage the IVF centre at Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi, the largest women’s hospital in the United Arab Emirates. He successfully ran the centre until his return to the UK to take up his current appointment at St Mary’s Hospital. With extensive experience in IVF, Mr Salim provides a highly individualised approach to patients, tailoring protocols to achieve the highest pregnancy rates. He has a particular interest in patients who have had previous failed fertility treatments or who are considered poor responders to IVF treatment.

Mr Salim also has a special interest and extensive experience in reproductive surgery. He is proficient in performing most surgical procedures via minimal access techniques, such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, including myomectomies and the excision of endometriosis.

Mr Salim’s areas of expertise include gynaecology ultrasound, early pregnancy, minimal access surgery, reproductive medicine, infertility, fertility, gynaecology, IVF, male fertility, reproductive endocrine, and imaging. He has been serving as a consultant at St Mary’s Hospital since his return to the UK, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.
