    Mr Raju Singh Ahluwalia is a distinguished Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at King's College Hospital NHS Trust, London. He holds the prestigious Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England for 2022-2023, an accolade awarded for his pioneering work in diabetic foot surgery and clinical decision-making. This honour places him among the ranks of renowned surgeons such as Joseph Lister and Lord Darzi.

    Mr Ahluwalia’s areas of expertise encompass the full spectrum of foot and ankle surgery, limb reconstruction, including ankle arthroplasty, and limb salvage. He is also the current chair of the bone infection meeting at King's College Hospital. His clinical interests are broad, covering conditions such as bunions, hammer toes, forefoot deformity, metatarsalgia, calf tightness, and Achilles disorders. He is proficient in procedures like minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, bunionectomy, ankle joint fusion, and arthroscopic ankle fusions.

    Mr Ahluwalia completed his medical qualifications at Guys, Kings & St Thomas's Medical School, London, in 2001, earning Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005 and a Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2011. Additionally, he gained membership to the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2011. His academic contributions include publishing book chapters and scientific papers on sporting injuries of the foot and ankle.

    In addition to his clinical work, Mr Ahluwalia is an active researcher and a co-applicant in an NIHR grant funding project assessing diabetes foot care. He represents his unit at national and international meetings, where he frequently chairs sessions and delivers lectures.
