Dr Phillip Harrison is a Consultant Hepatologist with a specialism in Endoscopy. He currently practices at London Bridge Hospital and holds an NHS post at Kings College Hospital. Dr Harrison's areas of expertise include hepatology, liver disease, non-alcohol related fatty liver disease (NAFLD), abnormal liver tests, liver fibrosis, fibroscan, primary liver cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Dr Harrison qualified in medicine from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1984. He earned a Doctorate of Medicine from London University in 1992 and a PhD from King’s College University in 1997. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1987 and was made a Fellow in 1997.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Harrison is deeply involved in research, particularly in the immunotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma. He has numerous professional publications and received the GR Giles prize for Hepatology in 1994. Dr Harrison is also a respected author and lecturer, known globally for his expertise in hepatology.

Dr Harrison treats a wide range of conditions and performs various procedures, including fibroscan, endoscopy for the treatment of varices, ERCP (including Cellvizio to diagnose bile duct cancers), paracentesis, and liver biopsy. He is skilled in managing cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, fatty liver, cholestatic liver disease, and abnormal liver function tests.
