Mr Matthew Gee is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in London and Kent. He specialises in pathologies related to the pelvis, hip, and knee. After graduating from King's College London in 2000, he completed his surgical training in Orthopaedic Surgery across London and the South-East of England. In 2011, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS).
Mr Gee has undertaken extensive Fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty and trauma. This includes a 12-month fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre and the Repatriation Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia, as well as a 6-month stint at The Royal London Hospital. His areas of expertise include primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, and pelvic and acetabular trauma surgery. He has a particular interest in CT planned custom hip replacements and robot-assisted hip and knee replacements.
In 2015, Mr Gee was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at King’s College Hospital. He also serves as the Clinical Lead for Orthopaedic Services to Bexley CCG.
Matthew grew up in Cornwall and now resides in South East London with his family.
