Dr Mary Wain is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, specialising in skin cancer and general dermatology. She has dedicated her career to dermatology since 2000, completing her training at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals. Dr Wain was later appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at St George's Hospital, London.

Dr Wain's academic journey began at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London, where she graduated in 1997 with honours in five subjects. She was awarded the college Silver Medal, Medicine Medal, and Surgery Prize. Additionally, she completed a BSc in Physiology with First Class Honours, earning the college Physiology Prize. Following her qualification, she undertook postgraduate training in general medicine at St Thomas' Hospital, London, and obtained the MRCP.

During her training, Dr Wain conducted significant research in cutaneous lymphoma, for which she was awarded an MD by the University of London. Her areas of expertise include eczema, psoriasis, acne, mole checking, mole mapping, mole removal, skin cancer, melanoma, cutaneous lymphoma, and dermatology in organ transplant recipients.

Dr Wain is highly regarded for her comprehensive approach to dermatological care, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of treatment. She has a particular interest in the early detection and treatment of skin cancer, as well as managing complex dermatological conditions in organ transplant recipients.

Appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2000, Dr Wain continues to contribute to the field through her clinical practice, research, and dedication to patient care. Her extensive experience and commitment to dermatology make her a leading specialist in her field.
