    Mr Joseph Curry is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where he has been serving since 2003. He trained on the South East of England rotation and was awarded the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons' medal for outstanding performance in the intercollegiate examination.

    Mr Curry is the most senior specialist in neonatal and paediatric surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. His main areas of interest include gastrointestinal (bowel) surgery and the treatment of children born with abnormalities of the abdominal wall, diaphragm, and gastrointestinal tract. He has particular expertise in oesophageal surgery, anti-reflux surgery, and lower bowel surgery, including procedures for children with ano-rectal anomalies, Hirschsprung’s disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. Additionally, he is highly experienced in performing laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery, even on infants as small as 1kg.

    In addition to his clinical work, Mr Curry is actively involved in training senior surgical trainees within the NHS. He holds a post-graduate Certificate and Diploma in medical education from the University of London. He also serves as the representative for the South of England on the executive committee of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons.
