Dr Ian Gabriel is a Consultant Haematologist and the Lead Clinician at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Dr Gabriel qualified in medicine from St Mary's Hospital Medical School – Imperial College in 1999 and completed his specialist training in haematology in London. He holds a Joint Consultant position with Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust (Hammersmith Hospital), where he specialises in haemato-oncology (myeloma) and stem cell transplantation.
Dr Gabriel is actively involved in clinical trials, serving as both primary and co-investigator on numerous national and international studies in haematology. He runs a general haematology clinic, including for anti-coagulation conditions. His research contributions include numerous peer-reviewed papers on lymphoma, myeloma, leukaemia, and HIV haematology, as well as publications on stem cell transplantation. Dr Gabriel has also authored several book chapters. He has been in his current roles since his appointment in 1999.
