    Mr Emin Carapeti is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with years of exceptional experience. He has served as a Member of Council of the Section of Coloproctology of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, and an examiner in surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

    Mr Carapeti graduated from Guy’s Hospital and completed his training in London and South East England. His specialist training took place at St. Mark’s Hospital in London and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. His thesis and primary research focused on the treatment of haemorrhoids and anal fissure at St. Mark's Hospital, earning him a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2000. He has published extensively on anorectal disorders and pilonidal sinus disease and has pioneered new surgical techniques in complex recurrent pilonidal disease and day-case surgery for haemorrhoids.

    In addition to his colorectal expertise, Mr Carapeti has extensive experience in treating abdominal and groin hernias, both simple and complicated. He attended The Shouldice Hernia Clinic near Toronto, Canada, where he learned the renowned shouldice hernia repair technique. He is also a member of The Gilmore Groin and Hernia Clinic team, specialising in the repair of groin disruption, commonly known as Gilmore’s Groin.

    Mr Carapeti’s areas of expertise include pilonidal sinus surgery, haemorrhoid surgery, anal fissure and fistula surgery, and the management of anorectal disorders. He is proficient in performing colonoscopies and managing rectal bleeding and fissures.

    Mr Carapeti was appointed as a consultant in the year 2000 and continues to provide exceptional care to his patients. His dedication to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes makes him a leading specialist in his field.
