    About Mr David Albert

    GMC number: 2503763

    Year qualified: 1979

Place of primary qualification: University of London

Mr David Albert is a leading paediatric ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon practising in the London area. He has been a pioneer in paediatric ENT for many years in the UK, initially training at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and in Cincinnati, USA, with Dr Robin Cotton.

Mr Albert was the first ENT surgeon in the UK to specialise exclusively in children and has been involved in many pioneering developments in airway, tonsil, and adenoid surgery. His interests span the whole range of paediatric ENT conditions, from decision-making in glue ear to complex surgery for airway stenosis (narrowing of the airways). He has a special interest in airway surgery, choanal atresia (a congenital disorder where the back of the nasal passage is blocked), mastoid surgery, and the best techniques for tonsil and adenoid surgery.

Currently, he is a senior ENT surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and a long-standing member of the Medical Advisory Council at the Portland Hospital, London. He has served the Royal Society of Medicine, the American Society for Paediatric Otolaryngology, and the European Society for Paediatric Otolaryngology, and was President of the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology. He has published widely and is invited to lecture around the world.

Mr David Albert's plethora of experience means he is now a leading surgeon in his field and is able to provide the highest standards of care and treatment to all his patients.
