Miss Claire Mellon is a highly esteemed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in London, boasting a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in her specialised field. She is the Obstetric lead at her practice and adeptly handles a diverse spectrum of deliveries, ranging from complex caesarean sections to water births. All her private patients undergo delivery at The Portland Hospital.

In her gynaecological practice, Miss Mellon addresses a variety of concerns, including gynaecological emergencies, early pregnancy scanning, pre-fertility workups, and collaboration with fertility clinics for surrogacy and IVF. Proficient in laparoscopic (key-hole) and hysteroscopic surgery, she holds a clinical interest in the treatment of fibroids.

Miss Mellon obtained her degree from the University of Glasgow in 1988 (MBCHB). Initially training as a GP in Australia, she returned to Britain to pursue her career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She attained full qualification as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2001.

Commencing her practice on Harley Street in the offices of Sir Marcus Setchell in 1999, Miss Mellon established her independent practice in 2006. In 2014, she founded Miss Claire Mellon & Associates at The Portland Hospital. Additionally, she served as a trustee for Wellbeing of Women for an extended period and remains a steadfast supporter of this charity dedicated to raising funds for research in Women's Health.
