    Dr Christopher Groves is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital and Medical School. He also sees patients privately, including at The Lister Hospital. His specialist interests include general gastroenterology, hepatology, Irritable Bowel Disease, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and endoscopic ultrasound. He is an accredited provider of colonoscopy for the national bowel screening programme and an assessor of colonoscopy techniques at the national level.

    Dr Groves trained at the London Hospital and in gastroenterology with general internal medicine in the NW Thames region. He undertook a clinical research fellowship at the Cancer Research UK Colorectal Unit at St Mark's Hospital, which led to an interest in familial colonic polyps and cancer. He is experienced in endoscopy and polypectomy. Dr Groves then trained in pancreatic and biliary diseases and ERCP. He is responsible for developing endoscopic ultrasound at St George's Hospital and is a member of the hepatobiliary team running the ERCP service for the SW Thames area.
