    Professor Christopher Edwards is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Senior Lecturer at Southampton University Hospital. He graduated in medicine from King's College London and completed his specialist training at the Hammersmith and St George's Hospitals. He served as a registrar under Professor Hughes at St Thomas' Hospital and conducted research at the Kennedy Institute in London. He also spent a year treating lupus patients at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. In 2001, he began his consultancy role in Southampton.

    Professor Edwards treats various rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. He has a particular interest in lupus and manages the Southampton Lupus Clinic at Southampton University Hospital. His clinical work is complemented by active involvement in research, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
