    Professor Christopher Nutting is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based at The Royal Marsden Chelsea and Sutton, where he maintains both a private and NHS practice.

    Professor Nutting completed his undergraduate training at the University of London in 1992. He subsequently became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He qualified as an oncologist and earned a Medical Doctorate at The Institute of Cancer Research, University of London.

    With a special interest in medical education, Professor Nutting was appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Oncology at The Institute of Cancer Research in 2001. In 2002, he took on the role of Teacher at the University of London and became Head of the Head and Neck Unit at The Royal Marsden.

    Professor Nutting serves as the National Clinical Lead in Head and Neck Cancer for the UK Department of Health and the Cancer Services Collaborative. He is also the President of the British Oncological Association and Chairman of the National Cancer Research Institute Committee for Head and Neck Cancer Research.

    An active researcher, Professor Nutting has published over 300 research articles in his speciality. His areas of expertise include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy, radioiodine treatment, and Cyberknife. He specialises in treating head and neck cancers, mouth cancer, throat cancer, thyroid cancer, lung cancer, and skin cancer.
