Mr Bassel Zebian is a highly esteemed Consultant Paediatric and Adult Neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his medical studies at King's College London and underwent extensive neurosurgical training across several prestigious institutions, including King's College Hospital, St George's, and the Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre. He further honed his expertise with a paediatric neurosurgical fellowship at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Mr Zebian's areas of expertise encompass the management of brain and spine tumours, hydrocephalus, endoscopy, and minimally invasive neurosurgery. He is particularly skilled in handling complex conditions such as Chiari malformations, syringomyelia, neural tube defects, and spasticity. His innovative techniques in endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery have earned him global recognition and multiple healthcare awards.

Appointed in 2014, Mr Zebian has played pivotal roles in both clinical and educational settings. He served as the training and education lead from 2015 to 2019 and is currently the lead for undergraduate medicine for neurosurgery. He is also the patron of the King's College London Neurosurgery Society and actively participates in research, contributing to numerous national and international publications and presentations.

Mr Zebian is the neurosurgical lead for fetoscopic repairs of open neural tube defects, a unique service in the UK. His interests extend to the surgical management of paediatric neurovascular conditions and the treatment of degenerative spine issues.
