    Dr Balvinder Wasan is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist based in London. He trained at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, now part of Imperial College Medical School, and qualified in 1994. Dr Wasan completed his specialist cardiology training in London and was appointed as an Interventional Cardiology Consultant at Queen Elizabeth and St Thomas’ Hospitals in 2005. He also offers private consultations.

    Dr Wasan played a pivotal role in establishing a local angioplasty service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and served as the Clinical Director for Cardiology from 2013 to 2018. He has led numerous patient-care improvement programmes and is actively involved in the interventional rota at the Heart Attack Centre at St Thomas’.

    In addition to his clinical work, Dr Wasan has conducted research on the changes in heart function following angioplasty and bypass surgery. He has authored multiple papers on cardiac function, echocardiography, atrial fibrillation, and hypertension.
