    About Dr Bal Sidhu

    GDC number: 83975

    Year qualified: 2004

Place of primary qualification: King’s College London

Dr Bal Sidhu is a Specialist Prosthodontist in the City of London, helping patients restore teeth that look natural, feel comfortable, and function well long-term. Her work focuses on restoring smiles where teeth are worn, broken, discoloured or missing, and on supporting patients who feel anxious about dental treatment or who have had previous dentistry that has not met their expectations.

Many patients attend with concerns that have built up over time - worn or shortened teeth, chipping or fractures, sensitivity, repeated failure of crowns or bridges, or difficulty chewing. Some also experience jaw discomfort, clicking or headaches, often linked to clenching or grinding (bruxism). Dr Sidhu treats both single-tooth problems and complex cases where careful bite assessment and phased rehabilitation are needed.

Treatment may include crowns and bridges, full-mouth rehabilitation, dental implants and implant-supported restorations, and replacement of missing teeth with fixed or removable solutions. She also routinely manages tooth wear and bruxism with splints and bite stabilisation to protect teeth and reduce discomfort.

Patients often comment on her calm manner and the clarity she brings to decision-making. Consultations are structured and thorough, and may include relevant X-rays, digital scans, bite analysis and a jaw joint (TMJ) assessment. Findings and options are explained in plain language, with realistic expectations around outcomes, timelines and maintenance. A written, staged treatment plan can then be prepared after the assessment so you can move forward with confidence. For anxious patients, Dr Sidhu offers supportive behavioural approaches. Sedation is also available for an additional fee, provided by a visiting sedation specialist who attends alongside Dr Sidhu.

Dr Sidhu qualified from King’s College London in 2004 and completed specialist training at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, graduating with distinction in the MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. She was awarded Membership in Prosthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is on the General Dental Council Specialist Register in Prosthodontics.

If you are experiencing ongoing dental problems, would like to improve the appearance of your smile while protecting comfort and function, or you would value a specialist opinion after previous treatment, Dr Sidhu will discuss your concerns carefully and outline the most appropriate next steps.
