Mr Andrew Jenkinson is a Consultant General & Gastrointestinal Surgeon, qualified from the University of Southampton. He serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal London Hospital. He is also a part of an expert team developing advances in gastrointestinal (stomach and bowel) surgery at University College Hospital in Bloomsbury, Central London.
Mr Andrew Jenkinson has a special intrerest in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. His areas of clinical interests include bariatric surgery, GI (upper) surgery, general surgery, endoscopy, obesity and sports hernia. He currently carries out approximately 100 laparoscopic hernia operations and approximately 200 weight loss procedures per year.
Mr Andrew Jenkinson is a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons, Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons of GB and Ireland, British Hernia Society and British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS).
