    Mr Alistair Hunter is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He qualified from Cambridge University and University College London Medical School, completing his core surgical training at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, and obtaining his MRCS in 2006. He then undertook specialist training on the North Western and Middlesex/University College Hospital rotations, earning his FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013. Mr Hunter further specialised in hand, wrist, and upper limb surgery at the Hand Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington Hospital. He also trained at the Institut Kaplan in Barcelona, Spain. In 2015, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand awarded him the Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Surgery.

    Mr Hunter is an expert in all hand and wrist conditions. He manages both common and complex conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow, as well as complex hand and upper limb injuries. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive techniques in hand and wrist surgery.

    Mr Hunter is passionate about teaching, training, and research. He is actively involved in the training of orthopaedic surgical trainees and teaches on several national courses. He publishes extensively in his field of expertise and regularly lectures at national and international conferences.
